Is there any way to make the “Headlines Today” section show more than the latest post of a category? For example, if I want to show the most recent six entries from the same category, instead of the most recent entries of six different categories.

Great script. I have install the script but having trouble configuring the youtube video and Headlines Today slides. The instruction is difficult to follow. Where do i put the sidebar.php file that is inside of the popularity-contest folder? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Only one small problem…
The ‘headline’ section overlaps the ‘drop down’ menu.

For those of you having trouble w/the video not showing up in the tabbar … if you’re using IE6 that might be the problem. I have the same issue, but only in IE6. Try checking it in another browser. I also had others check it and they could see it. So, it may not be a theme related issue.
I’m concerned about the encrypted footer. There’s an awful lot of gyberish there to just show a one line credit on the site. I can understand wanting your credit on your work, that’s definitely important. But *exactly* what else does this encrypted footer do?
I ran across one theme that used encryption in several places and it turns out according to someone who knows how to test this or whatever they did, that the theme maker actually wound up being able to track web sites that used the theme and a few other things that seemed to me a little bit seedy and very much privacy invading. Theme had stuff being fed off his own server w/no apparent way to not have it feed off his server if you wanted it to work.
It also makes it difficult to style the footer. Every time I try to add a little line of my own plain old text (leaving what’s there in place) it doesn’t work.
I guess I don’t actually expect a response from the theme maker here since none of the other posts have been answered by them. Hopefully, someone else will know. Thanks!
I have been receiving so many emails everyday regarding support request and customization requests for my zinmag series themes. I have found some support requests for this theme posted on wordpress forums as well. I have tried to answer maximum of the requests, but if I try to answer each and every request it will eat up a major part of my day.
So I have setup a forum with categorized sections for each magazine themes I have released. I request my theme users to post their support related queries there so that i can provide a centralized assistance in this matter. Since it is a forum, users might be able to find fixes for common issues with theme without waiting for my reply. I will be spending a specific amount of time on the forums daily to answer your queries.
I’m sorry to vent, but I’m getting very frustrated with my ZinMag Redux theme. I posted here for help, I posted elsewhere for help and now there are new boards to get help from. Several posts but no help is forthcoming.
The problem is, there’s lots of questions not only from me but others as well, but not many answers when people ask for help. According to Jinsona’s post, he/she would be checking the boards daily and I got the impression that meant there would be answers - daily. I posted on the boards on the 21st, still no reply. Did I misunderstand Jinsona’s post?
I realize the theme(s) are free and I *am* truly grateful for some really terrific themes that I know I could not accomplish on my own. But if people can’t get them to work and can’t get help in getting them to work, they don’t do us much good, do they? Instead of a cool newspaper looking theme on my site, it’s just a plain old site and the reason I chose ZinMag redo was for it’s functionality. It was exactly what I was looking for and I am very anxious to get my home page functionality working the way it’s intended to work, but I can’t get the functionality(s) to work and need some real help.
If you are truly not going to provide real support, then please just up front with us and tell us and I will just not use these themes. I have no doubt at all that you are very busy as am I. I have now wasted more time than I care to tally in trying to make things work and my time is no less valuable than yours. I thought the boards would be the answer but instead I’m very disappointed.

I just tried it out and there is a noticeable delay from when the box appears to when the overlay appears. You might want to preload the overlay image or switch to an opacity only solution.
