    Hi there, I just downloaded and was trying out your beautiful theme, and I get this error message. Can you please let me know what to do to fix it?

    This isn’t my theme but I’ve been playing around with it today..the problem with the timestamp that you see the warning about is because some variables need to be entered into the header.php in order to make it work. Here is what you need to enter <?php echo(’ ‘ . current_time(’mysql’) . ”); ?> and you need to enter it in the div marked just replace the original php code that is there and the date will display on your blog nicely.

    Hi - I have a questing about the theme. When i create a post and publish it the section at the bottom of the page for the featured posts turns the verbage into jiberish. Can anyone please give me advice to fix this.

    to fix the warning missing argument for current_time() at header.php on line 151, you just simply remove this div container,

    or simply replace it with if you not want the block container display…

    and that will work for you…

    Hi HPA,

    The theme is still not working.

    What plugins do we need? Also if the header.php is wrong, can you fix it please, so that when others download they will not have the same problem.

    Another quick suggestion, if there are plugins required, please include a read.txt doc and then we will be able to download the addtional plugins.

    Nice looking website but I am not getting any images in the slider and also received the same error in regards to the time. I didn’t care about the time so I removed that part but would like to know how to get the thumbnails to display in the slider.

    Hello all.
    Sorry for all the confusion. The theme files are correct and whole. No error should occur. Please be sure that you have the latest version of Wordpress, that is 2.7. Activate all the plugins, please!

    In order to show the images, in the sidebar. You need to go to Admin CP > Design (Select Journal Theme) > ColorfulMag Options. There are many options in it to customize the theme. For the ColorFul Mag options page you can add images and select the category to display featured posts from.

    Lots of errors - The changes take effect but almost everything I do gives an error. I uploaded the plugins and activated them.

    After making a change to the widgets:

    Etc, etc. I’m working on trying to resolve this myself, but I wanted to let you know there’s some bugs still!

    Promising theme, but too many errors to deal with. Can’t get the slider images or RSS feed to work. Also, if there’s a video inserted in the Feature Post, it slides over the sidebar so that it’s still visible when a different post slides in.

    “Cannot modify header information - headers already sent” can be resolved by deleting the two empty lines at the end of the theme file called controlpanel.php

    There is a stray ’s’ below the 125×125 ads…it can be removed from line 22 of sidebar.php

    Other issues I’m getting:
    - If you set a Page as the Front Page of the blog, the image rotator does not display at the top.
    - the 404 page has the 125×125 ads on the left not the right.
    - Post’s author name is not displayed

    Other than that, a rather nice looking theme. Well done.

    It’s been awhile since I last checked this section for this theme. The theme works fine, the only real bug was the clock in the beginning, which was answered. People, themes are easy, but you have to have some basic knowledge of what the code is. Old school days, for my HTML people from thoughs days know what I’m talking about, the days before word press and all this fancy plug and play websites. Learn the ropes of HTML and some php or no PHP, then when you learn a little bit, then you can take an easy approach to designing a website with plug and play themes. All because you paid your dues, it’s not easy, but the internet is bigger nowadays from 1997 period. Questions comments, feel free, a working live version of this theme for you easy non learning complainers is here. For the people that tried to learn and fix themselves, which I did, hats off to ya, feel free to ask me any questions, but I’m not giving it away, HPA can do that. YOU HAVE TO EARN YOUR KEEP AND RESPECT IN WEBSITE DESIGN!

    Beautiful theme, think i’m gonna use it for my travel-blog. what i don’t link is that at the post’s on the start-page slides automaticly. If it’s a longer text, it changes while you are reading, which is annoying. Does anyone know how to stop that?

    Flowers, the plugins are in the folder with it. You’re not supposed to add the JTheme Folder as the theme, you’re supposed to load the theme one. Then load the plugins in the plugin folder into yours.

    That being said, it seems that the featured post gallery settings aren’t working on mine (the size settings work, but in terms of number of posts and post category it doesn’t). I’ve been through the code many times, updated to the latest version of Wordpress, and activated all the plugins, and it still seems like something’s wrong.

    Ran into the same “Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by journal theme” errors. Had to abandon ship and move onto another theme. Tried everything suggested…white space…mod this, mod that…still no luck.
    Very cool looking theme…wish it worked.

    Seems there is a css bug with nested Categories.

    Also the “Sliding Panel category” settings do not seem to work 100%, posts from other categories are shown as well as the one you select.

    Still loving this theme tho.

    C) When you upload the theme, the plugins are also there so you need to upload the plugins to their plugin folder, and the theme to the theme folder. So double click the folder after unzipping, and upload the files within to the appropriate folder.

    D)To get the carosel working you need to go to your post, near the botton of the page find the custom field. Then type in thumbnail in the key feild, and then in the next field the value field, type in the full image of your url.

    D)You need to create the categories Featured and Headline for this theme to work.

    E) Go to your wp admin panel, click on the dropdown button where is says apparence, in that section you will see journal theme options. this section let’s you choose your ads, and select the j style etc.

    The theme is very nice, everyone frustrations come from the fact of seeing such a nice theme, then not being able to use it. I have not seen another theme like it, and so many people just want to use it. My complements to the designer for coming up with the concept, but then a theme has to work.

    Thanks for this great theme.
    I solved by myself the rss problem, but now I have this problem:

    When the number of posts is up then 6, a “NEXT” button appears at the end of the page, but if you try to click, the page loaded will shows the same posts of the home page, and the slide do not works and the rest of the post are missing.
    This problem is also present on your prewiev.
    Someone can help me?

    Wow, this theme is nice but it took me many of hours to tweak it. I started to toss it, but since it blends in well with my web site i decided to keep it and work out the kinks. I still have some more kinks to work out, but they will wait.

    I like this as well although I had to do all the tweaks to get it working. Now I have run into an interesting problem I want to use lightbox but it makes the carousel stop working. I checked and it does that with their other templates to. So I wonder if anyone knows why it might be doing that and what a fix might be?

    I’m using this Journal theme on a website and am looking for help with two things:

    1. I’d like to replace the header area with a logo that would take up that whole space. Where do i go in to do this?

    so many bugs its breaking my heart - I love this theme - but oh my God how long would it take someone with such limited knowledge of these techie issues to get this up and running dude? Dont you wanna fix the bugs and THEN release it to the public? From reading the posts above that would save a lot of people a lot of frustration.     Does anyone know how to get images to show up in the slider? I’ve got an image (with a link) on my blog post but all that shows up in the slider is the blog post title.
    Also, any ideas how to change ‘None commented’ to ‘no comments’?
