timo- go to edit your post then scroll down to Add Custom Field(see read me for this theme) name: thumbnail then in the value it is a the URL to your image(must be webspace)

My problem is that the slide bar will not slide in Internet Explorer but looks amazing in Firefox and works fine-

Any suggestions to get it to work right in I/E would be cool

I’m trying to add a image to the slide bar, no luck so far
is there a way to get a step by step? I feel really stupid for not being able to figure this out but I’m new to WP.

Steve the Template is great but be warned if you are new to WP that right now all of the posts show up in all of the categories and I still can not get the Meta section to disappear-Hopefully we will get a little support on these issues cause it is killer theme.

for the images on the scroll you need to do a few things-In admin of WP once theme is active go and click on the theme under appearence there you will see settings for the scroll including which category you want the scroll items to be-

Select your category & number of items you wish to have appear in the slide bar. Save

then you need to create a post in that category in the post creation page go down to custom field and type THUMBNAIL for name and in the Value field just use the url that takes you to the image on your webspace.You must upload your images to your webspace for them to appear- also you will want to correct your images for the proper size of 307×251

I plan on trying o debug this for another day or so and hopefully will get some support if not I will sadly have to move on to another theme

Awesome theme!!!

But need help with how to add code for youtube videos since in the field I do input html link or embedded link from youtube but when I save and refresh my site then I get message no videos in the section of featured video.

I did searched for xhtml and javascript but when I watch a video on youtube the only link I get is html and link.

Hi, I’ve managed to installed this theme and it works ok, but I can’t add the header.

Here’s what I’ve tried but failed so far:
Theme Files >> Header (header.php)
change to be
<a href=”/”><img src=”/images/header_1024×400.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”" />

Go to Appearance>>Options>> and fill in the URL for the logo

Both failed.

Any suggestion what I have done wrong?

Secondly, my sidebar is not placed on the side of the blog. So either the content is too big, or it’s the sidebar is too big. Anyone know which function I should fix?

I always like hpa themes. This one is superb. Ajaxed menu is a plus. thumbnail pictures, and rolling post is unique. Great job, professional look. Keep it up.

Hi,

I have a problem with this theme. The template doesn’t respect categories. I xplain: if you click some categorie the blog shows all posts, not just the categorie you choose. What can i do to fix that problem, i really like this theme but i can’t use it with that problem.

Thanks Yogesh but it didn’t solve the problema. The ClassicMag Theme shows “categorized under” text in the post but if you click on some categorie the blog will shows all posts in the blog, not just the category you choose.

If you click, for example, the category “Cows” the blog will show you all posts under cows category but it will shows posts under “dogs” and “cats” and “rabbits” categories too. Anyway the links you gave me are for Natmag Theme. I did all you said and doesn’t fix the problem.

Ps: Sorry about my english.Please help me, i really need this theme.

TO CHANGE THE ‘ARCHIEVES’ TO ARCHIVES

Classic Mag doesnt use the method of widget-tab.php at http://www.igoy.in/natmag-theme-more-bugs-solved/

It instead uses image itself.

put this image in the “images” folder of your specific classicmag theme

For classic Mag purple this image

make sure you have change to any other setting other than default like shown in this image

Those who are still sruggling with the ‘categories’ problem (selecting a ‘category’ link shows all the posts) should try this
–>
GoTo PERMALINKS
Select ‘Custom Structure’ and put “/index.php/archive/%postname%/” or “/index.php/%postname%/”(ofcourse without quotes) in the respective field.

Hope this solves the problem.

I’ve asked this in other forums, but can anybody tell me how to set the front page as a static page. I love this theme, but I want my front page to be static and a different page to be used for postings. I have made the change in the wordpress settings, but it still shows all of the posts on the front page. Help me please - nobody will give me an answer.

Working on a new outfit for our internet marketing company, i found you beautiful theme. It looks very functional, though it ha a bit a lac of documentation.

My question: 1.) How can i get this rss to work. when i type in an e-mail address and hit the button i go to the original rss feed without actually going to the feedburner version.that confuses people! if you have a button next to an input field - people will click it… and you may have lost a subscriber. Took me 5 minute to find out! No user will invest this time. A search field up there would anyway be much better.

2.) Is it possible to remove the java script from the header pls? I’m an SEO man and i think you designers forget sometimes all about us! I removed the css!! from the header alright. Can i remove it the same way? copy the source code, put it to the other js files and set the path to it in the header? Can’t really figure out what it does… tons of things together… A wool-milk-egg-laying-pork so to say pls be so kind and drop me a quick note. I’m still busy to figure out how to get the slides and the flash working…. phuuh this is a piece of work. I’m sure though, once the theme works, it’s going to be great!

I’m just setting up a new website using this cool theme and tried to make a drop down menu but it the drop down menu is hidden behind the slideshow. Can someone please tell me why you can not edit the footer without it disappearing. This is horrible. I want to customize a footer but when I either
A. but it on top of the already code it moves it to the right of the sidebar,

B. under the already code it puts it under the existing footer

C. Delete the already existing code it deletes everything in the footer and puts the custom to the right of the sidebar.

This Sucks,,, Please help.

Seems that after the upgrade all my extra fields have been wiped clean! No image-path to the thumbnail in any post anymore! After adding the extra field again, still no slideshow though. Its kind of frustrating…. Cant get the glider to work either..

Hey Folks , Is there a fully working version of this theme? I like this very much , But i have few problems though
1) Whenever I click on any category - It just shows some random lines from the post but What i would expect it to show is starting few lines and a keep reading or a read more button.
2)Its kind of slow - Is there a way to optimize the loading speed?
